Board of Directors

 Board Member PhotoPresident - Thom Jones
Thom is President of Seacoast National Bank, St. Lucie County, and shares his experience in the business world with CASTLE as President of the Governing Board of Directors. He has been invaluable to CASTLE in sharing the marketing experience of Seacoast with CASTLE staff in the implementation of our Mobile Memory Field. This joint effort has had an enormous impact on the four county area and has raised community awareness to a new level.

 1st Vice President - Bob Baldassari 
Bob is General Manager and Golf Professional at PGA Golf Club-PGA America. He is highly motivated to raise the level of fundraising for CASTLE, and his efforts have proven to be highly successful with the introduction of the Santa Open that will partner with CASTLE’s Holiday Magic for a fabulous winter event. Bob has a personal goal to “help lives improve."

Patricia Christensen Photo2nd Vice President - Mayor Patricia Christensen 
Mayor Christensen has recently joined the CASTLE board and brings years of experience with her in the areas of community relations and marketing. Her expertise in working with various community boards, projects and councils will be a great asset to CASTLE for our growth and development.
 


Board Member PhotoPast President - Dr. Robert Gehrig 
Dr. Gehrig is a local dentist, and a well-respected member of the community. “Kids are really important to my wife and me. Our volunteer time is almost exclusively dedicated to helping children.”

 


Past President - Michael Dillman 
Mr. Dillman is a broker at Wachovia Securities, who brings to the presidency of the Board financial expertise. “I believe that every child should have a chance to be what they want to be in this world. I believe that children who are abused are at a distinct disadvantage. I am involved with the CASTLE because I believe that the CASTLE can help accomplish equal footing. Plus I really like the job perks like, private jet, company car, stock options, etc. (Just kidding!).”


HR Chairman - Joanne Baker 
Ms. Baker works in human resources for the St. Lucie County Clerk of the Court. “I receive personal satisfaction from helping others and seeing the good that we do in this community in educating young parents so that our children will be safe.”

 

Treasurer - Robert Dunwoody, Jr. 
As CFO of Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, Bob brings years of experience in the areas of finance and investment to the CASTLE Board of Directors. His non-profit expertise has raised the levels of guidelines for CASTLE and provided the oversight needed for the standards required for the re-accreditation of CASTLE with the Council on Accreditation.

Alicia Scott 
Alicia is a Customer Service Manager with QVC. Her desire to be a part of the CASTLE Board of Directors is inspired by the companies many years of supporting the CASTLE with employees who are hard working, dedicated and enthusiastic in their support of our fundraising needs. Alicia is a committed member of the board who is dedicated to serving the community and providing the best possible support to children and families in crisis and need.

Paul Hiott 
Paul is the Director of Veterans Services for St. Lucie County. He has offered years of support through his involvement in the Chili Cook-Off and has come to the board with a renewed dedication to the CASTLE. He is committed to being fresh ideas and new energy to the board. Paul’s willingness to understand the goals of CASTLE and to help us move forward with programs and services to the at risk children and families living in our communities.  

Sherri Propis 
Sherri is the Advertising Manager for Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers. Her marketing expertise has been a great asset to CASTLE’s own Marketing Department as she brings new and innovative ideas to the table and also provides advertising opportunities and support that will be beneficial to CASTLE in the area of community awareness.

Susan Bergstrom 
Susan is the Marketing Director of Seacoast National Bank. Her vast experience in the marketing and community relations field is a welcome addition to our Board of Directors. She was instrumental in the support of the Mobil Memory Flag Field. Susan has also been an encouragement to many Seacoast employees who have supported CASTLE through their involvement in various fundraising activities.

 Dan Noelke 
Dan comes to our board with extensive experience working with non-profits. We believe that his experience will be beneficial to CASTLE as we move forward with our development and fundraising programs as guided by our Strategic Plan. Dan is active in the community and with local Civic Organizations and sits on the board of Heathcote Botanical Gardens.
