CASTLE and Seacoast National Bank to dedicate Memory Field in Stuart to remember and honor the children who have died at the hands of abusers, raise awareness of child abuse

 
 
WHAT:                
The Memory Field is a field of 198 white flags, each representing a child in Florida who died last year as a result of child abuse. The field will be traveling through locations in Stuart, Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach and Okeechobee, and the first dedication ceremony will take place at the Seacoast National Bank facility located at US Hwy 1 & Colorado in Stuart.
 
CASTLE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of family life and preventing child abuse and neglect by providing community education, support and resources for parents in need of assistance on the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee County.

Dedication Ceremony: Tuesday, February 16 @ 5:30 PM
The Memory Field will be in Stuart from Friday, 2/12 through Friday2/19.

Key details:
  • The Memory Field was created by CASTLE to raise awareness to the problem of child abuse, and to emphasize the solutions to this terrifying problem. The field of flags will stand to signify each precious life lost.
  • Sponsors include Seacoast National Bank and Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers, as well as FOOLS AS ONE, Inc. who have donated labor to move the field from location to location.
  • The Community is invited to visit the Memory Field to pay tribute. Sponsorships of $100 and $10 are welcome, and can be given at all CASTLE locations and all Seacoast National Bank locations.
